Few cityscapes are remarkable as Porto’s, in particular the historical center, classified as a World Heritage Site since 1996.

The GoCar will take you to the oldest parts of the city and be prepared to find yourself in a maze of medieval alleys, old-world shops, cobbled streets, and baroque monuments that define this unique city. What follows is a selective taste of Porto’s highlights, from the fascinating hotch-potch of tall, colorful houses piled one behind the other on the steep slopes of Ribeira, over a dozen iconic buildings, such as the dramatic Ponte De Dom Luís I, an iconic double-decker bridge designed by a colleague of Gustav Eiffel, and the astonishing beautiful São Bento Train Station, with its 20.000 sumptuous azulejos (ceramic tiles).
