Navigate through many of San Diego’s iconic parks like the Balboa Park and Petco Park. As the heart of San Diego, Balboa Park, is a must-visit. While in the park, stop in to one of the many museums, grab a bite at a food truck and listen to a local artist. Many of the museums in Balboa Park will have extended hours into the evenings, so if you’re looking for a night at the museum this is the best way to cover San Diego at night and visit a museum!

Your route will take you through Little Italy, and is a great place to stop for that evening sweet tooth. Enjoy gelato or handmade chocolates as you sit beneath the twinkling lights of the plaza and take in the colorful fountain lights.

Snap some amazing photos along the Pacific Ocean and see Seaport Village at night. Park and take a stroll along if you choose. On the way back explore the boutique shopping district and entertainment of Hillcrest. While passing through Hillcrest, take in the lively entertainment, art, food, and music. See the iconic murals along your drive and stop to take it all in for a moment.

This tour is approximately two hours drive time at a slow pace and has several fun, informative detours and stop options along the way. If you want to extend the tour you have the option of taking the Old Town loop at the end of the tour. We do recommend adding the Old Town loop, it’s a must-visit at night for locals and visitors alike. You’ll hear the sounds of the talented mariachi bands and see folklórico dancers move about.
