How to Celebrate Easter in San Francisco

Spring is in full swing, and with Easter happening in a few short days, we wanted to share some of our favorite activities to do on Easter in San Francisco.

After everyone spent most of last year indoors, there’s an understandable desire from families to take advantage of the beautiful weather by planning for a fun outdoor activity to do on Easter in San Francisco. This year, GoCar Tours will be offering an Easter egg hunt that’ll be fun for your entire family!

The Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt is available for free to any GoCar customer and can be completed during any of our tours. The following is a list of the locations featured on our Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt.

Easter in San Francisco Activities

  1. Original Ghirardelli Ice Cream and Chocolate Shop
  2. Electric Tour Company
  3. Blazing Saddles
  4. It’s Sugar
  5. Big Bus Tours
  6. Sky Star
  7. Golden Gate Park Welcome Center

Original Ghirardelli Ice Cream and Chocolate Shop

The weather for Easter in San Francisco is always a toss-up — it can be sunny and hot, or foggy and cold. This year it looks like it will be the former, and there’s nothing better to do on a hot San Francisco day than stop at Ghirardelli Ice Cream and Chocolate Shop.

Located at 900 NorthPoint Street in Fisherman’s Wharf, the shop is full of Easter-themed candies, as well as their iconic squares of chocolate confections. Every customer who enters gets a square of chocolate, but GoCar Customers will get a special treat when they show their Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt Map.

While you’re there, why not try their new Gold Rush Sundae, inspired by their White Chocolate Caramel Square!

Blazing Saddles

One thing people are looking to do after being cooped up for so long this past year is to get out and exercise – and Blazing Saddles is one of our favorite ways to get that heart racing – biking your way through some of the Bay Area’s most beautiful locations.

Blazing Saddles offers bike rentals and both guided and freestyle bike tours out of their two locations in Fisherman’s Wharf, as well as other satellite locations in the city ( including downtown and Golden Gate Park).

Starting back into an exercise routine is a great way to spend Easter Weekend in San Francisco, and participants in GoCar’s Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt can get a treat and a discount from either of Blazing Saddles two Fisherman’s Wharf locations.

Big Bus Tours

If you’ve got a group of people coming into town and don’t know what to do with them this Easter in San Francisco (and you’ve already done a GoCar Tour!), Big Bus Rides are iconic and informative ways to get around the city.

With more than 30 hop-on stops, Big Bus Tours is an open-air tour through some of San Francisco’s most popular tourist spots. Their hub at 99 Jefferson Street in Fisherman’s Wharf is participating in Gocar’s Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt and is offering discounts to all participants in addition to a special treat. Sky Star

Featuring 36 private gondolas that soar over 15 stories high in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, the Sky Star Ferris Wheel experience is one of the hottest tickets this year. The Sky Star is located between the California Academy of Sciences and the de Young Museum at the North end of the Golden Gate Park Music Concourse.  They have partnered with GoCar to participate in our Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt with a killer treat for guests who have a Scavenger Hunt Map and take one of GoCar’s 3, 4, or All Day Tours that go through Golden Gate Park.  Soaring above the city in your own private gondola has to be one of the coolest ideas for Easter in San Francisco in 2021!

Golden Gate Park Welcome Center

Golden Gate Park is the Heart of San Francisco, stretching from the Pacific Ocean almost 3 miles into the center of the city. The park’s 1,017 acres house two museums, several lakes, a carousel, bocce ball courts, and even fly fishing.

One of the best ways to spend Easter in San Francisco this year is on an All Day GoCar Tour, with ample time to take advantage of all the attractions in the park. The park is celebrating its 150 year anniversary this year with a very special treat for all GoCar Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt Participants.

We at GoCar are encouraged by the progress the city has made in ending the COVID-19 epidemic, and are excited to share our socially distanced activities with visitors to our city.  Our Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt is one of the safest and most fun group activities this Easter in San Francisco – come join us!
